This month has been full in the very best way. We’ve watched teenagers step into leadership, celebrated moms who pour so much love into their families, and worked hard getting every corner of Bright Hill ready for a summer packed with ministry opportunities.
Some moments were loud and joyful. Others were quieter reminders that God is steadily building something beautiful here in El Salvador.
Here are a few snapshots from life at Bright Hill lately.
FIRST: We celebrated moms in our community.

This month, we celebrated Mother’s Day during our Monday night outreach service, and it was such a joyful evening.
The kids sang songs for the moms, dinner was served, and we played games that had everyone laughing and cheering each other on. It was one of those nights that felt full in the best way—full of people, joy, and community.
We love getting to celebrate the women in our neighborhood who care for their families so faithfully every day.
NEXT: We watched our teens step into leadership.

One of our favorite things happening right now is seeing our teenagers become more involved in outreach nights.
You’ll find them leading singing, playing instruments, helping with services, and stepping into real leadership roles within the faith community at Bright Hill.
It’s amazing to watch their confidence grow, not just in music or public speaking, but in their faith. These students aren’t just attending church anymore. They’re becoming active parts of the community God is building here.
And honestly, seeing young people choose to serve is one of the most encouraging things we could ask for.
FINALLY: We are getting ready for summer teams.

Summer mission trip season is almost here, and we’ve been hard at work getting everything ready.
One exciting project this month was expanding the balcony area at our facilities. The extra space will help tremendously when large teams are staying with us this summer.
But what we love most is that this space won’t just serve mission teams. When teams aren’t here, the balcony can be used for Bible studies, gatherings, and community events throughout the year.
We’re grateful for spaces that help bring people together—and excited to see how this one will be used. (Obviously, the photo above has nothing to do with summer teams, but it’s so much cuter than a picture of a balcony!)

This year, we’ve been holding onto Hebrews 10:23,
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
This month, we’ve especially seen God’s faithfulness through people who come to El Salvador, see the needs firsthand, and continue helping long after their trip is over.
Some return year after year. Others may never physically come back, but they keep praying, encouraging, giving, and supporting the work happening here.
It’s remarkable the way God moves in people’s hearts when they experience this community. Time after time, we’ve watched Him raise up people who continue carrying this ministry forward in ways we never could have imagined.
“He who promised is faithful” Always.

Ways you can pray this month:
- Pray for our summer mission trips. This is the biggest summer of teams we’ve had in a long time—possibly ever. Pray for preparations, travel, and for each person coming to use their God-given gifts and talents well as they serve.
- Pray for the girls participating in this year’s quinceañera celebration. They’re continuing through a Bible study, growing in faith, and learning what it means to become women who follow God.
- Pray for our young people who are helping lead music and serve during outreach nights. Pray they would continue maturing in Christ and growing into leaders within their community.
Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us in this ministry. Your prayers, generosity, and encouragement help make every one of these stories possible.
If this update encouraged you, feel free to share it with a friend. We love watching this community continue to grow.
